Actor, Model

I have worked with terminally ill children providing their celebrity dreams. I love being told it can't be done. I love a bfc - my acronym for Big FREAKING CHALLENGE and I have great humor. I can interview anyone anywhere but am extremely interested in alternative ways of helping people. When I check out, I want to know that I have done my very best in sharing my gifts.

TV & Reality

I have wanted to be a talk radio/TV host since I was a baby. I actually talked before I learned how to walk.
I grew up watching television with my family every night. The worst punishment I had was when I was unable to watch Ed Sullivan or the Lassie Show. (I got in trouble for talking too much and have now realized it to be an asset). I dreamed of what it would be like when I was the person asking the questions and having people tell their own stories.
Working with a foundation for 6 years providing the dream/wishes of terminally ill children, I have tasted my dream. Now I’m ready for it.
I’ll bring tenacity and “stand my ground and I won’t back down” to the table. (see dreams I have accomplished). I love being told “it can’t be done!” I was told by one security officer for a celebrity that taking kids backstage to meet their dream cele
brity wasn't going to happen. I don't give up.

My name is Vicky Bird. I didn't know I was a famous until.... I used to do celebrity dreams and wishes for terminally ill children in East Tennessee. I called down to give kids the world (the childs dream was to meet snow white at disney world). When I called to make her reservation, the person that answered the phone started sreaming to her co-workers.Its Vicky Bird on the phone, its Vicky Bird. I thought to myself wow what nice people - ha. She asked me if I was the Vicky Bird from Tennessee and I said ...well yes. She said "I've got Vicky Bird on the phone". Can you believe it? I was very impressed - I felt like maybe they had heard of the work I had done providing celebrity dreams for childen in east tennessee.
She wanted to know if I lived in Nashville and I said no - Knoxville Tn. She went on and on about how much she loved Vicky Bird.
I finally asked why she loved me. She said aren't you that Vicky Bird (she spells her name exactly like I do) the country music star? I laughed. I may be from Tennessee but I don't like country music and I didn't know who she was until I looked it up on the internet. I guess that was my 15 minutes of fame.
Off topic, But I have newspaper articles that I can fax to you about the unusual dreams of the terminally ill childen I have done. Very inspirational.
I thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.
Vicky Bird aka not the famouse one.
