Dancing experience
Magic Dancers - Lead Dancer, Choreographer & Creative Director - January 2002 – August 2006
Founded one of Colombia’s leading Dance Groups. Consisting of 22 dancers performing in leading Colombian venues and theatres featuring latin, pop, hip-hop, street dance, salsa, cha cha cha, tango and many more. Starting with the creative design of the whole dance production, my role further included the overall choreography and featuring as lead dancer in the actual production. Key performances in 2006 included: Las Calles de Broadway and Egipto (Music Videos Available).
Athletic, Classic & World Gym’s - January 2005 – August 2006 - Dance Teacher
Teaching 23 dance classes per week to groups of up to 60 people in Pereira City’s most famous gyms. Classes included all types of latin dance including: salsa, merengue, reggaeton, bachata, folk, pop, hip hop and many more.
Heaven Club, Mango Club & Arriva De La Loma Club - Choreographer & Lead Dancer in 3 Nightclubs - September 2005 - June 2006
Choreographed latin dance shows in Pereira City's three largest nightclubs. Also, performed as the Lead Dancer in groups ranging between 4 to 8 professional dancers.
Sena National - Choreographer & Dance Teacher - June-December 2004
National Charity that assists in educating the Poor in Colombia. Recruited to choreograph Sena’s dance group in Pereira City, select dancers, teach dance classes and perform as lead dancer. During my employment, the dance group competed three times against other cities and won every competition. Personal achievements included winning Best Dancer & Choreographer in all competitions.
Independent Contractor - Dance Teacher - January 2002 – June 2004
Various roles included teaching dance classes in high schools for dance competitions against other schools. During my employment, the school competed five times against other cities and won three of the competitions.
