In October 2010, I played the role of Sophie Bishop in my own low-budget feature film ‘POSSESSED,’ which unfortunately, never got released due to editing issues in post-production. However, I co-wrote the script along with Writer/Actor Andrew Norman, and co-directed the film along with Actor/Director John Symes of Red Sky Productions.

I played the lead role of Megan Hill, a young woman who suffers with sleepwalking, in a short film in April 2011. I also did the special effects make-up on the two other actresses, and helped out with the script.

I played the role of Jessica in a short horror film in May 2011 called Porcelain. You can see this on my profile. (Please see video section).

I play Lizzie, a rape victim in another short film called David and Lizzie. I also did the special effects make-up on myself. This however, was a very amateur production.

In early June 2011, I co-wrote and co-directed a short film called 'Night Stalker', along with Andrew Norman and Andrew Carson, where I play a Vampire. You can check out the unfinished trailer to this on my profile. (Please see video section).

In November 2011, myself and Andrew Norman co-wrote another short film, this one lasting 30 minutes in length. It was directed and edited by Philip Kempson. I play Annabelle - a spirit seeking revenge.

In 2011, I helped cast the music video ‘Wasting Away’ for a local band called Six-Towns. I had a small role in the music video as a Vampire, and I also did the special effects make-up on both myself and the actress playing the lioness. You can see this on my profile. (Please see video section).

I played a helpless victim in a short student film 'The Butcher' in the year 2011.

In late 2016, I co-wrote the short film 'Poker', which I also produced and had a small cameo role in.

Earlier this year, I co-wrote, produced and acted in another short film called 'Fallen Angels', which is still in post-production.

In 2018 I will be working on a number of independent Music Videos for my YouTube channel, as well as some live performances on both Facebook and Periscope. This will allow me combine my love for both film and music.

Modeling experience

Beginner, starting out

I have done a number of small photoshoots for both my singing and acting. I also did a cast photoshoot on the set of 'POSSESSED,' a micro-budget feature film I acted in, co-wrote and co-directed around October 2010. I have also done a number of shoots for other small films and projects over the past few years.

I started singing at the young age of 14, winning my first karaoke competition in the local family pub at the age of 15. From there I auditioned for a local band and became one of the few chosen members. We did a couple of local gigs, but then after a while, myself and two of the other female singers decided to leave and start our own group. We got ourselves a manager and became ‘Irresistible.’ For two years we gigged around the local working men’s pub/club circuit, but at the age of 18, I decided to leave Irresistible as I felt I had gained all of the experience I could with them, and they were holding me back from what I truly wanted to do.

I then auditioned for a place at one of the Haven Holiday parks and was one of 50 chosen from 1800 people to sing at Blackpool’s Cala Gran. I was there for a few month or so before I had to come back home due to an illness in the family.

I gave my singing a break for a while and started a dance/drama course at Burslem College, but I soon missed my singing and decided to go for another audition. I was then chosen to sing along side Donna Crystal Simpson in a female duo. We became ‘Girls on Film', and sung songs from famous Movies such as Rocky and Top Gun. We gigged the working men’s pub/club circuit for a year, but Donna then decided to quit singing, so my manager at the time, Martin MyCock, put me with a male singer. We became Nyteshift, a Mo-Town/Swing/Soul duo.

I was with Nyteshift for a little over a year before I left my singing days behind due to my full-time job as a chat host for Sun and Heart Bingo. That was around seven years ago now, and I have wanted to get back into my singing for a while.

I have plenty of experience singing/acting live on stage, as well as some in a recording studio. I also auditioned for the X Factor a few years ago along with Donna Crystal Simpson and Joanna Mccarthy. We made it through to the 3rd round, but unfortunately we weren't what the judges were looking for at the time.

I would have to say I have a very Disney voice, and my ex-manager use to describe it as very crystal clear and angelic. I can adjust to any type of music apart from Rock or Heavy Metal. Mandy Moore and Vanessa Hudgens are two of the singers I has been told I sound like, but I'm just me. I also do a great version of Ariel from the Little Mermaid ‘Part of your World’ (please see audio section), and Anna from Frozen.

My musical influences would have to be Adele, Lady Gaga and The Saturdays.

This year I plan to go into a recording studio to record some cover tracks for my YouTube channel.

Please check back for promotional shots, videos and audios over the coming weeks/months...

TV & Reality

In October 2012, I took part in a Reality TV show called Brendan's Love Cruise, hosted by none other than Brendan Sheerin, which aired on More4 December 2013. I got to travel around the Mediterranean visiting places like Tunisia, Malta and Rome. However, after signing a contract with Optomen International, I am unable to give out any information regarding my experience on the show. You can however watch the two episodes I am in on the 4oD site. I was in episode 15 and 16.

For the past three years, I have been taking part in the LIVE Sun Bingo online show 'Having a Ball', which is run by New UK and Sun Bingo, whom I work for full time. The show is hosted by Brian Dowling and Rustie Lee, and each show has on a celebrity guest. So far I have been involved in all of them in one way or another, whether it be in front of the camera, working on scripts, or helping behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, the Having a Ball show ended in December 2015, but I gained a lot of experience working as a presenter, and reading from the auto queue.

I love taking photos – mainly landscapes and old buildings. After receiving a canon camera as a gift from a friend, it became somewhat of an obsession and I am always taking random photos wherever I go, whether I’m walking my dog, taking the bus ride over to see my family and friends, or just heading back home from work. I have always had a love for anything beautiful, and I am told I have an eye for certain shots. I guess wanting to make films, you have to have an eye for these things.

Although I love to take pictures, I prefer to see my ideas come to life on film – but I do have a few project ideas in mind where my photography is concerned, so maybe you will see more from me. You can check out some of my work on my Facebook page 'RavenRose Photography'. The link is on my StarNow page, and I'd appreciate a like.
