From the age of 4, Ruth Alexis attended performing arts classes, with particular focus on dancing and singing. Ruth Alexis' interest in music developed when she began learning trumpet and violin from the age of 8. During childhood, Ruth performed in school orchestra competitions, dance shows and even a west end touring musical.

Ruth went on to study BA Hons Popular Music, specialising in vocals. During her studies, Ruth performed in pubs and at festivals as a dancer/percussionist in a Brazilian samba band, and as part of a duo.

Since graduating, Ruth Alexis has worked overseas in touring production shows and party/function bands in Spain, France and The Middle East.

I attended dance school from the age of 4-15. I am not professionally trained, however, I can pick up choreography easily.

I have experience working in sales, hospitality and retail. I have also worked as a children's entertainer and dressed as a costume character. I got an A for my university teaching placement (singing coach), and I worked as a camp counselor in the USA.
