I am the lead female vocalist of a 10 piece rock, soul and blues band called Blow The House Down (audio demo on profile). This is also the backing band for the Dusty Springfield tribute.
I am the front person for 5 piece band Where There's Smoke - playing Cocktail Covers. This is also the supporting band for the Olivia Newton-John tribute.
I currently sing with a 3 girl harmony group - doing Andrew's Sisters style material, and this group also doubles as Christmas Wishes. We also add in a male voice for Bing and the Gals.
Prior to that I performed with the Concert Club which was established to provide good old fashioned song and dance concerts for retirees. The first show was called Hits of the Blitz and it toured suburban Perth and includes Andrew's Sisters songs, swing solos, and song & dance numbers.
I have fronted many and various bands of all styles from motown, latin, jazz and swing to 70's and 80's Rock and Pop. Swing is my all-time favorite.
Venues I've played in include the Melbourne Rialto, Convention Centre, Botanic Gardens and the MCG during grand final season.
I have been a featured guest vocalist many times in Melbourne prior to moving to Perth 2 years ago.
Prior to that I played Madonna in tribute Show (03-05) and played Carmen Miranda in cabaret show (02-04).
I can read music as I learned the piano and flute through high school. I am also a strong harmoniser and love the richness that quality harmonies can provide.
What I enjoy most of all about singing live is the interaction between the band and the audience. I love to reach out and entertain them and each time it is a brand new experience.
