ASHY is an unsigned & self managed pop artist from Christchurch, New Zealand.

At just 20 years of age, the young singer-songwriter has already achieved more than most would only dare to dream - amassing over 600,000 streams on Spotify; enjoying chart success and working with leading pop producers on both sides of the Tasman.

She has also gained accolades in some of the country’s most well-known music initiatives, from Play It Strange to Smokefree Rockquest. ASHY was also a contestant in the second season of TV3’s X Factor. She’s also a well-known face and voice on Christchurch’s live music scene and recently she played in Auckland to a packed crowd opening for Kiwi four-piece Openside at the iconic Hollywood in Avondale.

In the space of just two years, ASHY has released a string of winning singles, including ‘Jersey’, ‘Over You’ (which reached #5 in the Hot New Zealand Singles chart), and ‘Temporary Crush’, co-written and produced by Josh Fountain, who is a member of the band Leisure and who’s also behind some of the best known NZ pop tunes of recent times (think BENE, Theia, Maala and Openside!)

ASHY's latest singles ‘All Eyes Are On Me’ & 'Pretty Lies' were both made with Sydney producer Liam Quinn (BOI). 'Pretty Lies' charted number #34 on the Official NZ Hot 40 in it's first week.

In earlier years of ASHY's career she won awards in New Zealand's most recognised songwriting competitions Smokefree Rockquest, Play it Strange, the Sheliah Winn Shakespeare Competition & nation wide spread Massey University comp, "Create1World".
