Previous paid speaking roles
Multiple years experience on a range of television and theatre projects and a successful
Advanced Diploma of Arts & Cinema Directing (Elmi Karbordi University) form my
work profile to date. As a trained arts professional I´ve been engaged in a variety of areas,
my largest interest has always been directing and performing in film and television.
Within the scope of my work as a freelancer I have developed core qualifications from
the development and implementation of creative concepts to the realization of complex
and multi-faceted characters, plus the coordination of project teams. Between 2004 and
2013 with Ali Hasani I ran an arts-education company called Ghasedak in Tehran.
Together with my co-director I developed and planned drama classes, coordinated the
logistics and managed the marketing of our programs. By 2013 Ghasedak was holding
drama classes in 70% of the Kindergartens and Community Centres in Tehran.
Since moving to Australia in 2013 I have worked with Radio 3ZZZ and Channel 31 on
documentary film project (Working) Title, with Charsoo Drama Group on numerous
theatre productions as a lead performer including The Spectator (2018) , Drought and
Lies (2017) and with Ayla Drama Group on The Ship of Fools (2013).
Since 2013 I have worked annually on the Iranian Film Festival Australia, beginning as a
volunteer and moving into a professional position as Coordinator of the Sydney leg.
I am practiced at working evenings and weekends and posses a NSW driver’s license.
Occupying this position would give me great pleasure because it´s an opportunity to give
back to an important Australian education institution, where I can utilize and express my
professional skill and experience.
