Announcement - Curve + Brawn Model Search winners are here!

We are so excited to announce that we don't just have one winner of the Global Curve + Brawn Model Search 2017, three StarNow members have landed modelling contracts with top agencies!

Congratulations to Kirk Broomfield and Vivian Eyo-Ephraim from the UK who have signed with Bridge Models, and Jordan Felix from Australia who has signed with Viven's Model Management.

These three babes will be represented on the curve boards (or brawn, for Kirk) of these incredible agencies who have worked with some of the biggest brands in the world.

Our winners were thrilled when they got the news that they'd won, and we got in touch to ask eight quick questions about each of them...

Jordan Felix from Sydney, Australia. Signed by Vivien's Model Management.

How did you hear about the Global Model Search?Kirk Broomfield: I was very fortunate to stumble across the Global Curve + Brawn Model Search on StarNow. I was updating my profile with some recent pictures and decided to have a browse of the opportunities that were available and saw it!

Vivian Eyo-Ephraim: I saw the casting through StarNow on Twitter.

Jordan Felix: I read about it through a StarNow ad that popped up on my Facebook newsfeed.

What made you apply?Kirk: I was hesitant at first, I felt that maybe I didn't fall into the "typical" model physique and that I wouldn't have a chance. But I did a bit of research on Bridge Models and saw the wonderful work they're doing to promote realistic and healthy body shapes. It's fantastic, and something I would love to be part of. So along with a bit of a push and support from family and friends, I applied.

Vivian: I wanted to try something new that could possibly launch my career in the Curve modelling industry.

Jordan: I've always thought about modelling, but never knew where to start. The Global Curve Model Search sounded like the perfect opportunity.

What are you most excited about being signed?Kirk: I’m so excited to get started! This entire experience is new to me and I’m so honoured to have such a wonderful agency sign me. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and into a new area where I’m going to get to meet and work with loads of new people and companies. What's not to be excited about? I really can’t wait.

Vivian: The fact that I'm going to be working under a very prestigious Curve Agency, and just working with clients I've always dreamed of working with!

Jordan: It's the start of a brand new adventure with so many possibilities!

How did you feel when you found out you'd won?Kirk: Disbelief at first, I think I read the email at least four times to make sure I wasn't mistaken. When it sank in that I had actually won, I couldn’t stop smiling, to the point a work colleague asked what I looked so happy about. I couldn’t tell them as it hadn't been announced by StarNow or Bridge Models, so I made something up. I was very happy and shocked at the same time.

Vivian: I was ecstatic! Words can't describe how happy and proud I was that I'd won. I jumped endlessly around the house!

Jordan: I squealed a little bit! It's so surreal and so exciting!

Tell us about yourself and where are you from.Kirk: I'm 29 and grew up in Coventry in the west-midlands and recently moved to a little village called Burton Hastings on the outskirts of Leicestershire. I'm the proud father of a two-year-old boy named Harvey-James. I'm completely new to the world of modelling and I'm so thankful for Bridge Models and StarNow for giving me this opportunity.

Vivian: I'm 20 years old and I was born and raised in South East London in the UK. I'm originally from Nigeria.

Jordan: I grew up in a small town with a big family in Newcastle, Australia. I moved to Sydney two years ago and am absolutely loving the big city life!

What are your favourite hobbies?Kirk: I enjoy weight training and playing rugby, although this has stopped over the last season due to injuries. Since a very young age, before I could even walk, I’ve been a fan of comics, Marvel, DC and other characters. This led me to start collecting books, films, toys and other items which I’ve got dotted around my home.

Vivian: I absolutely love watching movies, eating (laughs), exploring adventurous locations in London and playing with makeup!

Jordan: I love cooking, listening to music, dancing and swimming.

What is something interesting about you that everyone might not know?Kirk: I'm a current serving police officer within the West Midlands Police Force, and have been for 11 years. I joined at the age of 18, straight after leaving sixth form at school.

Vivian: When I was much younger I wanted to become an air hostess.

Jordan: Something that not everyone knows is that I have a dream to open my own animal sanctuary.

Describe your personal style.Kirk: Day to day style-wise I tend to stay quite simple and causal, something that’s comfortable and practical. I normally go for brands that fit well and look good. I do like making an effort from time to time, and when I do a bit of tweed never goes amiss.

Vivian: Simplicity does it all for me! I love wearing simple pieces with a nice pair of heels or trainers.

Jordan: I sway between feminine, casual and tomboy.

Keep checking StarNow for great opportunities just like this, and you might be the next member we interview!
