My name is Freya Goddard and I am 21 years old. I have recently graduataed with a 2:1 music degree from huddersfield University. I have had singing lessons since the age of 10 years old and have entered various big competitions such as X Factor, The Voice and Open Mic. I have also took part in 'Yorkshire's got talent' and came 3rd place which enabled me to win a mini recording session. I have performed in Paris and on the London Palladium with my performing arts school which was a fantastic experience and opportunity. I have performed at various events around Sheffield, the biggest being 'Sheffield Food Festival.' From this, it allowed me to be approached from pub owners asking if I would gig for them on their busy nights. I am currently teaching vocal lessons at the school I attended while growing up. This is proving to be rewarding as I have entered some of my pupils in the Rockschool vocal exams where I have 100 percent pass rate. I have also volunteered at my local primary school where I put on music workshops for the children to come and play instruments and put together a few bands so they could perform to the rest of the school. Along with my university tutor I volunteered at Greenacre school which is a special needs school. This was a great experience teaching the children who all had different disabilities, some severe, about music and learn to create it themselves. I am constantly learning more about my craft so that I can gain experience and be the best performer I can be.
