I've also covered every other type of show from classical music to chart rundowns to sport during my 39 years with the station.

TV & Reality

Broadcast appearances on TV quizzes :

Fifteen to One (Regent Productions for C4) in 1997 (eliminated half way through) and again in 2002 (reached final 3 of my show)

The Weakest Link (BBC2) in 2006 (winner - so clearly I'm getting better with age !!) : I also gained some notoriety among my friends when I serenaded Anne Robinson - for a moment it looked like the witch was quite impressed!

Breakaway (Gogglebox Television for BBC2) : March 2012. I was one of the runners-up - so forget what I just said about getting better with age!

The Chase (ITV Studios for ITV1) : November 2012. I succeeded in taming "The Beast" and made the largest contribution to our prize fund of £12,000 which I shared with two others. Looks like my luck's changing again ....

Two Tribes (Remarkable productions for BBC2) : February 2015. Won £1,000

!mpossible! (Mighty TV for BBC2) : January 2017, won £10,000.

Pilots and studio rehearsals :

Stand-in contestant in studio rehearsals (Television Centre) for "Are You Smarter Than Your Ten Year Old?" (Two-Four Television for Sky 1) in August 2009 : I "won" Noël's £500,000 jackpot - but sadly it was only pretend!!
Contestant in pilot recording (not broadcast) of Al Murray - the Pub Landlord's "Compete for the Meat" (Avalon TV for Dave , February 2011, Television Centre). Perhaps we'd better draw a veil over that one though (and thank goodness it wasn't broadcast!) as my hospital radio team were branded "thick and slow" and consigned to the "sin bin" for much of the show.
Games tester for "Ant and Dec's Push the Button" (Gallowgate for ITV1) - Pinewood Studios, January 2010.
Games tester for "Sing If You Can" (RDF Television for ITV1) - Pinewood Studios, Spring 2011. This involved trying to stay upright on a giant rotating turntable while singing and I'm still having nightmares about it !!
Stand-in contestant in studio dress rehearsal of "Tipping Point" (RDF Television for ITV - June 2012 - London Studios)
Stand-in contestant in studio technical rehearsals for "Celebrity Fifteen to One" (Remedy Productions for Channel 4 - March 2014 - BBC Elstree)
Regular contestant in developmental run-throughs and studio rehearsals for "The Great Culture Quiz" (Maverick Television for Sky Arts, September & November 2014)

Contestant in over 20 run-throughs and pitches to channel commissioners for numerous companies (2010 - present) including :- Talent TV, Shine TV, Zodiac Media, Gogglebox Television, Yalli Productions / Shed Media, Seven8 Media, Saltbeef Productions, Hat Trick Productions, Love Productions, Chalkboard Television, CPL Production, Endemol, Whizz Kid TV, Objective Productions, Gameface, Boomerang, Man Alive Entertainment, Spun Gold TV.
