I have received training in drama and acting in a variety of drama groups. I was a member of the Tinahely Workhouse youth theatre in Tinahely, Wicklow for a year (2011 to 2012). Here I learned the key drama exercises and increased skill of voice and improvisation. Afterwards I was then a member of the Red Moon theatre in Enniscorthy from 2012 to 2013. Here I learned exercises that increased my qualities in been pro-active and focused for screen and stage. I participated in a film making and film acting summer camp in August 2014. I was then part of a local film acting agency down in Wexford. Here I learned the key things to consider in media production such as acting in single camera production (doing the exact same thing for each take with the camera at different angles). I participated in a number of stage productions in school. I was the pauper workhouse boy in our school musical of "Oliver!" in 2011. I also done music and dancing in the numbers of "Oom-pah-pah!" and "Who will buy?" in the musical. I was the Black Knight and Sir Lancelot the Brave in our stage production of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". I was then the Wizard of Oz in our school musical version of "The Wizard of Oz". I also done plays as part of the Red moon Theatre. I acted as a James Bond like spy recurring role in a play called "Hugh Dunnit". I then played Lord Capulet in a small sketch from Shakespeers "Romeo and Juliet". I performed a comedic slapstick character in a play sketch one of our members wrote in the group. In TV and film I was an actor in a number of short film projects that were done in my old college of Bray Institute of Further Education when I was doing a TV and Film production course. Links to the best you can see in the video section of my profile. I am a member of Movie Extras and have done work on "Rebellion", 1916 rising drama for RTE (as a dock worker); "Penny Dreadful" (Season Three, as a peasant-to be released), "Cardboard Gangsters" (crime comedy drama, as a party goer-to be released), Vaudevillains (bleak horror drama film, as a party goer-to be released) and Vikings (TV series on History, as warrior-al seasons). And of course I am the kind of person who acts in his own way in his own time. I spend ours in my living room looking into the mirror and practising facial expressions. I would be watching the TV of something dramatic that is on and I would try and copy what the actors are doing-including accents, tone of voice and physical choreography.

Film & Stage Crew

Directing & Writing ability

I have a bachelor of science degree in TV and Media from Institute of Technology Carlow.

I was also in Bray Institute of Further Education, doing the TV and Film Production course in Bray, County Wicklow. As of now I have a FETAC Level 5 certificate in TV and Film Production. In these colleges I made short films and other projects.

I wrote, directed, produced, camera operated and edited a short called "The Snipping".

I also wrote, directed, camera operated and edited a documentary about how the D-day scene in "Saving Private Ryan" was filmed on Curracloe Beach in Wexford, Ireland. It is called "Saving Curracloe Ryan".

I also served as a variety of roles for TV studio projects such as Camera operator, Director of Photography, Lighting, Assistant Director and Vision Mixer.

I was an editor on a VT documentary based on food in culture in Ireland called "Ireland is delicious".

I worked as a 2nd Assistant Director on the location shoot of our final end of year TV project called "The Fortnightly Show".

I recently wrote and directed a war film shot down in Wexford (Currently in Post). Its working title is "On the Run".

I was also director on a new comedy short drama, "Deception", we shot in April 2017. I also served as a writer, producer and sound editor.

I wrote, directed and co-shot a short film about a rogue violent environment loving hippie: “Snapped”. It won best student film at the Highway Walker Film Fest In Alaska USA. It also won best cinematography at the Great Message International film fest in India in September in 2019.

Another grand short of mine is “One Catholic Helps Another” which is about a Catholic British soldier who could have a sad ending at the gunsight of Catholic Irishman in 1870s Ireland. It was screened at fests around the world including the Galway Film Fleadh, Peak city international film fest, NC, USA and Great Message International film fest, India.

I also wrote, directed, shot and edited my longest short to date-“I see Autism” (working title). It’s about a marketing manager who falls to guilt after the death of an autistic man as a result of him not been able to afford to live. And that’s due to the autistic man not having money on the count he was declined of a job position at the managers business because of his autism. Currently in post.

I’m also aiming to do many smaller experimental short film works from time to time such as a super 8 project and an animated short film.
