In my second term of high school I was contacted by the head of the Drama program I am in at John Curtin College of the Arts. I as well as 7 others were given a script including scenes from The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and The Diary of Anne Frank. We we asked to learn our lines off by heart in 2 days to perform for a channel 7 news story by the Education Minister about John Curtin's gifted and talented program. With a lot of time and commitment we all managed to learn our lines and pull together an amazing performance On Friday afternoon, the day of the performance, we were costumed, had one costume rehearsal and then were put backstage. Channel 7 set up their cameras and the Education minister took his seat. We all then came out onto stage and performed, the very first time I had performed for camera. All of us did an amazing job and were congratulated by many. I have never had an experience as amazing and influential as this performance and will remember it forever. As well as this one amazing performance I have undertaken special tv acting courses in PEAC where I learned all about screen acting, makeup, props, green screen and many other vital tips to becoming an actor for screen. It is my dream that in the future I can perform for cameras, I hope it will become true.
