Seeking Presenter for International Online Series
In Summer, viewers from around the world are invited to read selections from a book that speaks to the pitfalls and potential of human collaboration and to create a poem, sculpture, painting, film, performance, architectural, theater, poster, fiction, non-fiction piece, comic, animation, stand-up or improv routine, composition, song or dance to share with the world. A Selection Committee representing each of the arts will choose six contributions from each art form to present in winter.
The premiere season introduces Robert McChesney and John Nichols’ People Get Ready: The Fight Against a Jobless Economy and a Citizenless Democracy. This book addresses one of the great challenges of our time: How can the tremendous benefits of technological progress be employed to serve the whole of humanity, rather than to enrich the wealthy few? Bernie Sanders describes it as “a call to turn knowledge into power.”
