The Drive is a drama about Sam, who works as an unregistered outreach worker at a domestic abuse shelter. When her husband asks her to consider starting a family, he triggers painful memories from Sam’s past. As she gets a call in the middle of the night pick up Nadia and her daughter, she leaves and breaks her promise to her husband. As they drive to the shelter, Nadia and Sam reveal their personal stories and unveil issues within the system meant to protect victims. Sam eventually comes to the realisation that disregarding her past trauma stilts her future with Michael and does not let her move on.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Auditions will be on Saturday the 13th, further auditions will be confirmed.

Production dates are 18th-23rd April and 11th and 12th of May. The role will require two days of shooting.

Strong, caring, supportive. Coming from a stable family, Michael does his best to understand Sam’s circumstances, however, he feels concerned for her safety. As she pulls away from him, he attempts to bring her back down to sturdy ground.
