Casting Call for Short Film
TERRA is a Highly experimental Film with no Dialogue, its meant to show the contrast between the peaceful Life in Nature and the busy loud city life.
Terra: 20 Female
Supporting Character: 21 Male.
The film opens with Terra doing her daily check of all of the plants/animals and making sure everything is okay. The story will frequently jump to the busy city district where the other unnamed character is performing their day to day schedule. (The point of this is to address the large differences between the two. This is meant to be really vague but engage the viewers mind to think about what is going on.) In this city district everyone around is rushing and bumping into each other in a rude fashion. There are also many vehicles rushing around erratically. (This scene is meant to be very loud in atmospheric noise contrary to the other scene with Terra that is very pretty and soft audio wise.) This switch between scenes will happen randomly throughout with the end of the story occurring when both characters find an element of each others realm (if you will) in their own. (This is the attempt at displaying the vague meaning behind the entire film. The film will attempt to show that in the busy city full of stress/anger and the pollution due to the presence of machinery can still be diluted and controlled for the better of the earth. On the other hand Terra will find a small piece of technology in her forest and we will find that the piece of technology was rotting the surrounding area of life etc.
