20 + Indigenous Male to Play WW2 Pilot in October
Plays this year cover Reg Ansett; Peggy McKillop; the plane Diana at the National Australian Aviation in Moorabin; Clyde Fenton , a Flying Doctor; John Hutchison, a young Highett man; and Len Waters, an until recently forgotten Indigenous pilot of WW2.
Performances are in a space , which we transform into an aviation theme in Parkdale . Others in the company range from 8 - 80 .
Lighting and sound are trucked in . Audience numbers are maximum 50. Quite a bit of easy music and sing-a-long are included in the 2 hour show. We have lined up a didjeridoo player to bookend the 10 minute 3 actor piece. LOTS is a true amateur company and does not pay fees.
We rehearse in my (Director) home until bump in at Parkdale. We are part of the Victorian Seniors' Festival in October.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesRehearsals are on a Monday 7.30 - 10.00pm. Buses run near here half hourly until 9.30 pm. Mentone and Parkdale stations are a 20 min walk. Plenty of car parking .
Production dates are Friday, Saturday Oct 11th , 12th at 8.00pm and matinee Sunday October 13th at 2.00pm. Then Thursday - Saturday Oct 17 - 19th at 8.00 with matinee Sunday 13th at 2.00pm
