Madame Piaf - Expressions of Interest
Class Act Theatre is looking for a talented female actor/singer for the lead role in a 2020 production of Madame Piaf (dates/venue yet to be confirmed).
The production is written and directed by Stephen Lee, who has over 30 years of experience in the professional theatre. Currently based in Perth, Stephen directed The Winter’s Tale at the Northcote Town Hall in 2016 which received rave reviews.
Madame Piaf was performed in Perth in 2014 with a sold out extended season and critical accolades and now we wish to present it to Melbourne audiences!
We are looking for a lady of small stature and powerful singing voice who can carry off this demanding and emotional role. She will be singing the songs of Piaf in the original French, but the acting will be in English. We are looking for a performer of any ethnicity late 20’s to 50 to portray the various stages of Piaf’s life.
This will be a paid opportunity.

Fixed price of $1000 - Final Fee TBA. This is the base minimum that will be paid.
We are looking for a very strong actor/singer who has the ability to sing in French with a hammer vibrato (as Edith Piaf). The acting will be in English.
