Character Actors Wanted for One of England's Top Scare Events
Actors may apply for specific characters but we also may change their role each night.
Scaresville audiences follow an hour-long immersive route in groups of approximately 10 people through farmland, woodland, old buildings and specially constructed sets. They interact with and meet various characters and scarers along the route all who scare them in a variety of ways. Most of the roles have a small performance area within one of our scare locations (which may be inside or outside on a variety of sets). You must be comfortable working at night and outside, be energetic and not scared of getting up close and personal with the audience. Your interaction with audience will vary in length from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on how the event is going and the particular role- also the length of interaction acts as a form of crowd control involved to ensure groups don't get too close to each other.
Though you do get short breaks in between the groups of audience passing through this is a high intensity role in which you may be jumping out at audience members, maintaining still positions for periods of time and be in close proximity to the audiences' personal space. It will be, to a certain extent, quite repetitive (though of course you can play around with your performance).
We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable performers who want to work with a brilliant team and get a kick out of thrilling audiences. We are a small but committed crew and are constantly innovating to find new ways of engaging with and scaring our audience.
Please note the attractions do involve strobe lighting, smoke and sound FX.
Additional/alternative roles also available during our Halloweenies daytime event in half-term from Sat 20th to Sun 28th October.
