Actors Required for Dark Comedy - 1- Minute Short - GFS - Brisbane
Unfortunately for both parties, Death sometimes forgets that his touch turns anyone and everyone to dust...
We're looking for a very caring and worrisome mother to offset a very casual Death, someone who can throw around a bit of sarcasm and sass without a second thought. We're also, for a very small portion of the already short film, looking for a child (male or female) to play the patient.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesThis will be a one day shoot on Monday, the 23rd of September in the Indooroopilly area. We will not be holding auditions, but short audition tapes are encouraged where possible.

An ordinary woman who has likely had her life turned upside down by the revelation that her child is terminally ill. She may or may not have been religious beforehand, but she's certainly turned there now. We need someone who can balance out the dark themes with the levity and humour we aim to bring.
One thing to note is that you will have to commit to your motherly and protective ways, while also going along with the deal that death proposes to you.
Females, aged 30 to 45
If the Grim Reaper were a millennial, he'd be this guy.
We're looking for someone who has turned to comedy and wit in the face of a grueling and difficult career path. Sure, you have to kill millions per day and rip them from their homes and families, but hey... that's what the alcohol in your pocket is there for.
We need someone with a sense of humor and an ability to crack a line without drawing too much attention to it. It's a wordy role, but a short film, so there's not too much there.
Males, aged 20 to 35
A young, happy and curious child. They've been diagnosed with a pretty impending condition, but the signs haven't shown too much. They're still the bubbly little kid they've always been!
This is a very very short role: one word and a few shots. It is the most important part of the film, however. We'd like parents or guardians to be very active in their part and to definitely be present throughout the entire process as the child is involved.
For any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
