We are searching for older female actresses for a recorded read through of a short film which will potentially be shot for screen in late 2020. FINAL RITES is a three part comedy anthology series which focuses on Ghanaian funeral traditions from the viewpoint of three young British-Ghanaian people each who are forced into outlandish situations surrounded by mourning Africans.

We are in need of 3 Black actresses aged 35+ who can do African accents; mainly Ghanaian accents (but can accept Nigerian Accents). The roles range from mothers to aunties and grandmothers. Applicants must also be open to playing more than one character. Ideally we would like London-based actresses but are open to actresses based outside of London who are willing to travel in.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Auditions will be straight-forward, we will send a scene from one of the shorts and do a scheduled phone/Face Time audition. The recorded read through date is TBC but will take place in mid-late November in London at our production base within Endemol Shine International. The read through will be recorded in front of an audience. The scripts will be sent to all participating actors 1 month in advance with 1 rehearsal read through to happen a week prior to the live recording.
