Casting extras for a documentary following the band, The Menstrual Cramps. The documentary has been scheduling to go on a festival run March 2020 (Raindance, Underwire, Encounters). Currently seeking funding."
Production states: "Formed in a broken bedroom in Bristol, on the verge of homelessness, and rife with anger, The Menstrual Cramps were born. Following the steps of Kathleen Hannah and the Riot Grrrl movement, The Menstrual Cramps aspire to confront gender norms and empower women to break free from the patriarchy and speak their mind up. Their debut music video for ‘My Bush Ain’t Ur Business’ was removed from YouTube after being reported from netizens who didn’t want women to reclaim their own breasts or bodies. After receiving a great deal of backlash, including death treats, one of the members left the band for their own safety.
Their new album, Free Bleeding features songs like 'No Means No' and 'Idols' which approaches the art world’s problem with abusers, demanding us to stop idolising our idols and to instead ‘Scrutinize Their Trivial Lives.
The menstrual cramps aren't here to take your stuff!"
