"Hero, Fallen" is a dramatic Australian short film. The script received an excellent review when submitted to the Austin Film Festival in the short screenplay category.

The story follows Danny, a 10 year old boy and a potential champion in the 400 metres, who is caught in his parents disintegrating marriage. At home Danny and his mother are a victim of domestic violence, and Danny's way of dealing with the emotional upheaval this causes within him, is to run. It's the physical world when he runs to win that helps Danny to capture the feeling that he his loved. The focus of the film is not the abuse, it is Danny's questioning of why it is that his father doesn't love him. It is a story of a boy connecting with the physical world as a means of finding the love he is denied, and the questions that arise in Danny as a result of what he witnesses, both during the drama of the violence and the aftermath and change it causes in his mother. The story is told by Danny narrating, as he questions and seeks to understand, while we the audience watch his story unfold visually. The power of the spoken dialogue that there is in the film, is left until the tragic end of the film. It is an emotional and powerful short film told purposely within an Australian environment in an Australian way to appeal to international audiences and to maximise the film's chances of success.

I have produced several short films previously as a mature age film student, and I have IMDB credits for those. My previous work also includes receiving a best performance award out of some 60 student short films. I have an understanding of what it takes to produce quality short films from both sides of the camera. I'm seeking to work collaboratively with a Cinematographer to create a film that can be used as marketing to obtain finance for a feature film.

The shoot is expected to take 4 days, shot over 2 weekends.
