PROJECT SYNOPSIS:

A Social Funeral is an absurdist comedy that explores our relationship with social media. It holds up the mirror to the often bizarre relationships people have with those they find through it, and how it turn can affect their waking lives.

As the social media landscape has become more commercial, we also see a glimpse into the calculated business side. What was once a medium for bringing people together is now more than often used as a way of bringing products to consumers.

In a social funeral, we see all these themes play out for Grace, a 20 something young photographer, who is dragged to an absurd funeral where her followers mourn the social media account she failed to post on.
