I am a screen and media student from Newcastle Tafe and I am looking for extras to be in my major work, a short film titled “Lost and Found”.

Synopsis: While running late for a train, a student (Kieron Ward) cuts through a busy park in attempt to save time. On his way, he finds a lost little girl (Amberley Matthews) and decides to help her find her mother. However, when he finds the mother she accuses him of kidnapping her daughter and he is arrested.

The police don’t believe Kieron’s version of events and he is charged with attempted kidnapping and a court case is set. During the court case, Kieron tries to defend himself against a bias onslaught from prosecution’s legal team but is removed from the court room by the judge for being too emotional. A short time later Kieron is in a locked in a cell, he is devastated and rocking uncontrollably, he is alone.

I am looking for male and female actors to play extras over several shooting days, please note that this is a student film and will be unpaid. However everyone involved will be credited and will receive a copy of the finished short film for their show reels.

The film will be shoot on location in the local Newcastle area, during August. Rehearsals and interviews will be conducted via Skype, Zoom or Teams, please include your preference in your application.

There is a costume designer working on the project but his role will be to work with you to find suitable costumes from your own wardrobes. All costuming, hair and makeup should be done yourself, given the Covid19 restrictions.
