PQA, the new generation of weekend performing arts schools set up by actress, Pauline Quirke, are currently recruiting a dynamic, Musical Theatre Teacher in Southampton.
Brilliant, inspirational and energetic, your in-depth knowledge of performing and Musical Theatre will ignite passion in the hearts and minds of the young people who attend our academy. You will create and plan fun, engaging and educational lessons, choreograph shows and inspire young minds.
You must be organised, hard-working, a team-player, full of energy, have great communication skills and the ability to use your initiative.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least one year of professional experience performing within the performing arts industry
- At least one year of experience working with children and young people, aged 6-18 years
- Able to teach all aspects of Musical Theatre including Singing and dancing
- Professional training; a degree or equivalent, although applicants with other relevant experience will be considered
The candidate must have a willingness to complete relevant training, a current DBS check will be required and be over 21 years old.
The chosen candidate will be required to work every Saturday during term time 9:30am – 5pm
Rates of pay start at £120 for the full day
