This video for an up-and-coming rock artist has a loose narrative about a single character exploring different identities, told through punchy, surreal and humorous visual set-ups.
We're taking inspiration from early experimental filmmakers such as Kenneth Anger or Maya Deren, with an absurd and dreamlike exploration of a theme through aethetically-pleasing visuals.
Colourful and vibrant visuals. Shot on super 16mm film, so will have an old-school, retro look.
With a few costume changes, actors must be able to give their performances a degree of deadpan humour amongst these surreal visuals.

This character starts off with a firmly traditional demeanour, a regular British bloke. As the song/video progresses, his outside identity is stripped away, revealing strange versions of himself. Dreamlike scenes played out, almost like he's inhabiting someone else's headspace within a dream. The audience is left asking, which identity is the real one? And who or what decided? Great opportunity to practice range; expressive from a physical standpoint, deadpan from a facial standpoint.
