Title: Where Would You Be?
Length of Film: 7 min short

As her mother pursues her dreams beyond parenthood, a daughter faces misadventure at the cinema where they are meant to say goodbye, jeopardising her chance to tell her how she really feels.

Mum is leaving to go to London to pursue her dreams before motherhood, so Cleo her adult daughter will be left behind in Australia. When tickets are all sold out at the outdoor cinema, Cleo’s plans to have a movie night to say goodbye to Mum are ruined. Cleo is left stranded with her imagination running rampant when her mother doesn’t turn up. Spiralling into an anxiety-driven-imagined-reality, Cleo must battle to realise that saying goodbye properly tonight doesn’t mean she’ll lose Mum forever. This is tested when Mum appears out of the darkness, having been waiting in the cinema the whole time, compelling Cleo to finally make her true feelings known.

This project is a live action dramedy, intercut with animation directed and produced by Griffith Film Students Lilli CS, Kimberly Hansen and their peers. This project is an assessment for Griffith Film School second year students, that will be shared on YouTube and possibly entered into film festivals. This is great opportunity to form working relationships with future industry professionals.

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
