Lead Male Actor for Lockdown Short

'Strings Attached' is a short film which focuses on two young professionals, looking for love, living 'the new normal' in the midst of a pandemic. They date over video conferencing, but things are not as simple as they seem.

Essentially a drama with black comedy overtones and an unexpected twist.

The entire movie takes place via video conferencing on a fictional dating site.

Looking for a guy who could be in his mid 30s, but realistically pass for mid 20s. We need someone naturalistic who can play nerdy, confident yet at times awkward but not unattractive. Will need a fair amount of screen experience. We have already cast and shot the two female roles (but they will be available to read in during the shoot).

Ideally we need to see a Showreel and auditions will be done via self tape.

You will need to be able to shoot from home using a recent iPhone (because they can film at 4k) while acting with scene partner and director via Zoom. Will also need plain (white) walls for the background which posters can be blu-tacked to (we will send you four green A3 sheets so in edit sci-fi posters can be keyed in).

We are actually re-shooting the Josh scenes due to copyright issues (you guessed it, the posters) and the previous actor now being unavailable due to being cast in another project. Shoot to production will be very quick, as the bulk of editing and sfx are already done.

This movie will be doing the festival rounds. We have had good feedback so far and have the unique brag of the entire thing being filmed via iPhone across three different countries.

We are a collective of experienced actors and writers, so this is a zero budget passion project that grew out of the urge to do something creative during lockdown.
