The short is being made by film students from Bond University who all have practical experience on film sets. We are happy to let you use clips for your demo reel.
The film tells the story of an 8-year-old girl (Sophie) who is woken up on Christmas Eve from sounds coming from the living room. She comes out excitedly, hoping to see Santa Claus. However, instead of St Nicholas himself, she sees a stubbly man wearing all black who is stuffing expensive household items into a large sack...
The robber thinks quickly and comes up with a story. He is 'The Anti-Santa'. Unlike Santa Claus, who brings people new items each year, the Anti-Santa goes into people’s houses and takes stuff that they do not need anymore.
After she convinces him to let her be his ‘helper’, Sophie must efficiently help him collect the most precious items in the house before the night ends. However, they must not wake up her father (a police officer), because otherwise, according to the Anti-Santa, "Santa won’t be happy".
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesWe plan to shoot in February of next year. However, this may change depending upon people's availabilities. It will mainly be weekend shoots.
Paid - We won't be paying a "salary" as such, but we will pay you a lump sum at the end of production to thank you for your help and reimburse you for expenses (see below). We will also have catering on set.
Expenses paid - Petrol, accommodation if necessary, etc.
UPDATE: We will be shooting in February during the weekends. At this stage, we are planning on doing three consecutive weekends. We are just university students, so sadly it is not in our budget to buy people plane tickets or anything like that.

The Anti-Santa (Robber)
He is a gruff man who is not used to dealing with young children. However, as he spends more time with Sophie (and also her 6-year-old brother when he wakes up later in the story), he becomes a warmer and kinder person.
Male, aged 25 to 65
