
Three Actors Needed for Abstract Student Short Film

Three vastly different and yet equally disturbed men, each on the brink of their own existential breakdown, attempt to make sense of the ambiguous nature of their mutual reality, in order to pass the time.
Toska is a student film being made for the University of Technology Sydney. Due to the nature of our Insurance and assignment, this role is unfortunately unpaid, however, we will be using professional-level equipment, catering will be provided, and you will get a copy of the film for your reel.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates
Shooting will be on the 3rd and 4th of Jan 2021. With rehearsals to start in December 2020.Job payment

Middle-Aged Male Lead
'The First' - Our protagonist, middle-aged, gloomy, and moody. Easily angered, the world has failed him. He longs to be recognised, appreciated, respected, listened to. He has never had any human relationships. He is short and round. Angry looking.

'The Second' - Flinches at everything. He lives life as though he is walking on eggshells, terrified of making the wrong move. Constantly apologetic, frantic. He is wiry and thin, lanky. Bad posture, as if trying to take up space.

'The Third' - Filled with a longing for human connection, for love, for touch, sleepy-looking, messy hair. He is a dreamer, distracted, full of repressed desire. He is dramatic, exaggerating everything with a helpless and hopeless tone.
