TAROT is a 15 minute short film about rival tarot card readers in a town that isn’t big enough for both of them.
This romantic drama follows the story of Delilah, whose mother runs the town’s only psychic and tarot card-reading business… Until the new girl at Delilah’s school, Emily, starts advertising her own online psychic services.
As Emily’s business booms, Delilah and her mother realise there’s only only room for one tarot card-reading business in town, and they’ll do anything to stay afloat.
Except falling for the rival was never in the cards…
Full of humour and swoon-worthy moments, TAROT is a short film about following your heart, regardless of the barriers that might stand in your way.
This is an independent project made up of people with varying amounts of experience. Some of us are graduates or currently studying film-related degrees. We’re professionals still looking to break into the industry, and we believe that every project we work on will give us further experience and expertise which will help us get a step up and connect with other hard-working creatives.
We have a professional crew, and we will work to ensure that the set is a positive, uplifting environment that allows for people to speak their minds, be who they are unashamedly, and really give it their all.
WHERE IT WILL BE SEEN...
We hope to submit TAROT to short film competitions globally, including the Melbourne International Film Festival. After, TAROT will be available to watch on YouTube.

Delilah’s mum is a dedicated business owner who’s always tried to make the best life for her daughter. She has run a successful business for over twenty years, and she loves seeing her regular clients for their tarot card readings and fortune-tellings. As a single mother, she’s always worked tirelessly and often thanklessly, and nothing is going to stand in the way of her continued success - especially not a new psychic in the town. She’s resourceful, adaptable and won’t go down without a fight.
