Casting Call: Lead for Basketball Film in Manchester

Calling all actors who like to hoop and all hoopers who’d like to act! I’m casting the lead in my next art comedy. Think Ron Shelton’s White Men Can’t Jump meets Horace Ove’s PRESSURE.

I’m looking for someone in their late teens/early 20’s to play Max, a cross between Jesus Shuttlesworth and Del Boy, who wants to get through the week playing as much basketball as possible riding his charm the rest of the time.

I'm after someone with screen presence, a photogenic playing style, who can score with ease and wants to be part of something special.

As always, I’ll take enthusiasm and punctuality over experience and professionalism so don’t think that just because you’ve not done anything like this before that this can’t be the first time.

I’m making it this Spring/Summer in Manchester, or as soon as the lockdown eases, whichever comes first.
