Logline: In 2012, a seventeen-year-old boy comes of age whilst grappling with his sexuality.
Nearing a festival run for Pancake Originals' first feature film 'The Library Boys', we have begun casting a variety of supporting roles for our second feature - 'Sunflower'.
The film follows Leo, a seventeen-year-old boy who struggles day to day with his ongoing attraction to other boys around him, including his best friend Boof, all while dealing with the shame and frustration that comes with it. It is when Leo is met with the unbearable attraction to his younger brother‘s friend, Tom, and the ongoing peer pressure from his parents and friends to date the prettiest girl in school, Monique, that he is forced to confront his deepest desires.
This project will aim to screen at various film festivals worldwide and sell to a distributor for theatrical and/or VOD release.
