Looking for various actors for comedy/drama feature film. Script has been written and we are now in pre-production with a number of roles already cast.

Film plot:
The film centres around two friends who are involved in low-level crime around their neighbourhood. They are mistaken for private detectives and are sent on a mission to find a missing person.

Character descriptions:
*All roles are any ethnicity - we encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply.

1. Ray - Supporting character. Significant role and lines. Male. Age range 30+

Ray is the owner of a dodgy second-hand store involved in low-level criminal activity. His nonchalant attitude hides his moral conflicts as he juggles his home life and a failing business - and hence turns to criminal pursuits.

2. Elina - minor character. Female. Age 50+. Multiple scenes with some dialogue.

Elina has dementia and is looked after by son. She is warm and friendly.

3. Doctor - minor character. Two scenes crucial to story - good dialogue. Female. Age 40s

4. Nurse - minor character. One scene with minimal dialogue. Any gender. Age any

5. Rough bar patrons (x3) - Minor characters. Three scenes. A couple of lines. Male. Age 25-40

Stunt background would be a bonus. All three men involved in two short fight scenes (few punches thrown etc).

6. Peter/Peta - Minor character. Two scenes only. Few lines. Bartender. Any gender. Age range 50+

7. Meryl - Female - Age 50/60+
Minor character. One scene at end of film - few lines.

This lady is wealthy living an opulent lifestyle and is looking for a private investigator.

Availability will be needed between 1 day and max 8 days of shooting pending on character.

We have a professional DOP on board and both the Director and Assistant Director have been involved in a number of independent productions and corporate films as both behind-the-scene roles and as actors.

All roles are currently unpaid, pending on any funding or any distribution we are able to secure.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Shooting is TBC pending on COVID - however the aim is to begin mid-year in line with schedules. Filming in Victoria.

Job payment

Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - This is an indie production

Expenses paid - We hope to get funding and/or this film distributed in order to pay actors. However, regardless we will reimburse travel costs and meals provided (Also discussed in audition).

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
