We are casting people to be part of a portraiture photoshoot to portray various stories of the housing crisis for the charity Shelter.
Its not just about rough sleeping, it’s a much broader issue that is affecting millions of people; it’s about unsafe living conditions, sofa surfing, unfit temporary accommodation, discrimination, effects on mental health, and lots more.
Role:
HERO
We are looking for a variety of people to tell a story through portraiture.
We want to cast up to 10 people to create 10 portraits in total. Each person will be attached to a story. Ideally, we want to cast people who have experienced some of these housing issues, whether directly or indirectly, for example; living in temporary accommodation, older renters, no fault evictions, poor living conditions, dangerous cladding, working homelessness, discrimination, fleeing domestic abuse. Please leave any notes of experience in the comment box.
We want to show them as they are: powerful, resilient, strong, proud, real human beings. This project is about their story and how the image tells it.
