Overwhelmed by more bad news about climate change, 16-year-old Andie retreats into a daydream of a carefree summer’s day at the beach. But the future is starting to feel like an inescapable nightmare.

'Day at the Beach' is a short horror film about the impact of climate anxiety on young people.

We are seeking three extras:
- Two school kids, aged 16-25 (character age 16)
- One tradesperson, aged 25-50 (character age flexible)

First Nations, POC and LGBTIQ+ performers are strongly encouraged to apply.

All actors must be Sydney based.

The owner of this listing has agreed to abide by local 'working with children' regulations. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

Shooting will be on 5 and 6 November (subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions)

Job payment

Unpaid – this is a collaboration opportunity - Student film

Expenses paid - Catering provided

Collaborations should create mutual benefit and are usually amateur, student or 'Time for Print' projects.
