Go Home (working title) is an independent found footage horror film set in Southall, West London, where an ex-convict taking part in a documentary about his rehabilitation, returns home to discover his role in a demonic prophecy relating to Hindu mythology. Think Paranormal Activity Meets Hereditary.

We're seeking actors who can deliver naturalistic performances from scripted dialogue as required by the found-footage horror subgenre. It is important for you to be able to convey realism.

Please only apply if you live within reasonable travelling distance to UB3 as we cannot cover accommodation costs and or daily travel outside of London Zones 1-6 and if you are available for the dates stated.  

NOTE: We previously listed this film in May 2021 for key cast members during the development stage. We have since added new roles and have a fully developed screenplay. Previous applicants are welcome to apply for any of the listed roles they may be suitable for.

Rates of pay - includes travel (within London Zone 1-6) expenses and lunch:

* Ash - Paid £588 for 5 days plus 2 hour table read - (equity film festival rate equivalent) and £75 pd for two rehearsals lunch. Total = £738

* Tee - Paid £400 for 4 day shoot + 2 hour table read plus £75 for one-day rehearsal. Total = £475

* Kay - Paid £300 flat rate for 3 days filming and a 2-hour table read and £75 for 1 rehearsal day. Total = £375

* Simran - Paid £300 for 3 shoot days + 2-hour table read plus £75 for one-day rehearsal. Total = £375

* Sam - Paid £100 for 1 shoot day

* Karen - Paid £50 for half-day shoot

Audition / Rehearsal / Production dates

- Auditions will take place online on Friday 1st October & Saturday AM
- There will be an online table read on Saturday 2nd October at 4 pm via Zoom.
- Rehearsals for the MAIN CAST will take place on 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th October.
- The shoot will take place from 1st to 14th November in Hayes, UB3.

Ash - Male Lead

Ash (21) - a documentary filmmaker who believes in the power of free will to create change and that can accomplish anything we put our minds to. Ash finds himself falling for the main (male) contributor of his film. There will be some tender scenes between the two characters as a love connection develops with some dark consequences. NOTE: This role includes 2 on-screen kisses and a scene in underwear. Please only apply if you're comfortable with this.

Identifies as non-binary and believes in good and bad karma. Tee is a no-nonsense aspiring tarot reader and psychic medium who helps their best friend contact a demonic presence. Tee possesses an edgy/urban style and a wicked sense of humour.

Simran - Female Supporting Character

Simran gave up her dream of going to art school to become a full-time career for her grandmother. So now she chases clout on her social media pages with the hopes to make a passive income from VLOGS. When Simran discovers her house is inhabited by a demon, she immediately jumps of documenting it at the chance of gaining new followers. Simran has a quirky dress sense and a crude sense of humour.

Kay (35) - Male Supporting Character

A documentary host & producer of an undercover sting series (think The Big Sting, Channel 5). His reckless aspiration sees him do whatever it takes to expose crooks and con-people. He's not afraid to ask controversial or provocative questions (think Piers Morgan). This role would suit someone with presenting and interviewing experience (preferred but not essential) to bring authenticity to the role. NOTE: This role includes a scene in underwear and smoking meth (prop smoke only).

Sam (28) -  Stern parole officer who believes that ex-prisoners should be grateful to be given a second chance.  £100 for one day shoot plus travel expenses (within London Zone 1-6) and lunch provided on shoot day.

Karen - Supporting Character

Karen (50) Well-spoken, affluent mother of a murder victim who takes part in a restorative justice meeting with the man who killed her son. She refuses to believe her son had instigated a racist attack on the man who killed him defending himself with one punch. This is a highly emotionally charged role where the character expresses her grief for the loss of her son and her rage against the man who killed him £50 for a half-day shoot plus travel expenses covered (within London Zone 1-6)
