You will be working weekly on Monday evenings with a range of creative arts practitioners/facilitators to create material and resources that explores HOW Black men can improve their health & wellbeing as well as improve the quality of services provided for them.
We will be using Drama, Theatre, TikTok Video, Comic Strip Animation, Graphic Illustration, Photography and Podcasts to create educational resources for the project. You will also have the opportunity to learn and develop skills with these artforms.
The project aims to break down the barriers between Black men’s lived experience of mental health services, health professionals and the clinical settings through the presentation of various sketches and real-life scenarios.
The performances will provoke interaction, debate and will stimulate the audience to collaborate on strategies to overcome the barriers represented in the materials.
