Co-Producer Needed

Co-Producer Needed

London, UK

This project is currently very up in the air, as I'm in the process of gathering ideas together to try and create a story that has a beginning, middle and end. I have a rough concept and context to put the story in and a couple of very rough demo scenes.

A jukebox musical (haven't settled on a particular collection of music) about survival as a homeless person and the genuine sense of community that lies on the streets of Greater London.

ROOTLESS PRAYERS (Working Title - I'm bouncing between that and just 'Rootless'.)

CONCEPT: A band comprised of only homeless individuals performs illegally all around London. Their fans all pitch together to pay the fines and heavy prices created by performing in industrial spaces.

POTENTIAL PART OF THE STORY: Keyboardist and unofficial band manager Ashley notices that the fines have risen significantly, meaning their fans may struggle to pay it off. Following the rest of the band, including immature arrogant lead singer Billy, bluntly refusing to get an official manager onboard, Ashley goes behind their backs to hire a manager who would be able to keep the charges at bay.

POTENTIAL SCENE: An unnamed woman asks a man about how he ended up on the streets. He sings 'Sleeping With The Light On' by Busted, referring to sleeping under the street lamp.

I want to jump to when lead singer Billy is 36 and he has a child of his own, singing 'Roll On' by Kid Rock.

Your Role:

You would be the producer, meaning I will be relying on you to manage the development of this musical. That includes assisting with finding funds, assisting in finding the right people and ensuring this musical can develop. I will also need your assistance on getting the rights for songs potentially featured in this musical, as I am not entirely sure what the legalities are. We can research this between us.

I'm looking for someone who's ideally produced before. If not, someone who can demonstrate they know what they're doing through an interview.

All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
