Black Female Ballet Dancer
The Ballet Company is an exciting new 10-minute digital broadcast pilot for the BBC with the potential to go to series. Black Camel Pictures are working with award-winning playwright Adura Onashile to tell the story of a black ballet dancer in their first professional role and the
stresses that come with it. The tone will be light and comedic without shying away from conversations about race, bodies, privilege and everyday life in a high pressured and highly competitive environment.
Working closely with Adura this is the chance to explore original roles through improv and movement. From this work, a script or beat sheet will be created for some dynamic and agile shooting days.
Audition / Rehearsal / Production datesshoot dates fairly flexible for right dancer. Rehearsal and shoot over next few weeks/by end of May.
