Four Actors Wanted for Major Roles in Captivating Short Drama

Four Actors Wanted for Major Roles in Captivating Short Drama

Queensland, Australia
Listed by View details

Our project is an ADVANCED screen and Media student final film to be filmed in Brisbane and on the Gold Cast early to mid December. The final output will premiere at Event Cinemas Australia Fair in Southport, and then admitted to international film festivals, to ensure the widest audience possible.
The Crew are experienced, well trained, dedicated and very good at their jobs. The project will be filmed principally on 6K red Dragon cameras, and will use professional lighting and sound equipment. This project is supported by NYFA Gold Coast.

The Story:
Set in the downtown industrial sector of an Australian city.

Lucas Devrie, once promising Med school student has all but given up on life after accidentally causing a fatal accident. Constantly plagued by visions, nightmares, and overwhelming guilt Lucas has no way of escape.
It takes the unconditional love of an abandoned friend in the form of a puppy to bring Lucas back from the brink where he can face his demons and reach out to the family who have been devastated by his actions.

The film explores the downside of giftedness, together with natural responses to tragedy, loss and guilt. The consequences of alcohol overindulgence and device distraction provide a backdrop for audiences to consider why some choose anger, and some choose forgiveness.

Production shooting will commence 9th December 2017 and wrap by 15th December 2017
