From the age of 8 I have been involved within the acting Industry involving main roles in school plays for example, Ebenezer Scrooge in year six to lead roles on immense stages like the Octagon Theatre and The Globe Theatre, London. I took part in a drama group called 'Castaways' for five years showing commitment to the local acting communities. This developed my acting, singing and dancing skills yet also lead me to a deeper understanding of directing, being part of a backstage crew and technicians within theatre. I then proceeded to study a Performing Arts Diploma at Strode College for three years successfully finishing with the grades of A* A* A. Within my time at Strode College in Street, Somerset I played the part of 'Juliet' in the famous play Romeo and Juliet and also 'Snowball' in the play Animal Farm by George Orwell. During my time at Strode College I was offered to play the role of 'Lorraine' in Boogie Nights by Jon Conway and Shane Richie having to learn the lines and songs within a week as the person playing the part at the time had dropped out. I excelled in this performance receiving feedback as 'The best leading lady on stage'. I then went on to gain a Degree at the University of the West of England where I graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) Degree. During my degree I realised that screen acting is what I wish to pursue, I feel comfortable in front of the camera and have found a passion within in. I wish to utilise the skills gained in screen acting within my degree to further enhance my character development skills and to network and meet new people in order to do so.
