I have a great passion for music ever since I was little. When growing up in a Christian and musical family, my every moment was filled with music. Besides attending school, I also started music school at 7 with my primary instrument being Piano. After finishing the core study program of 7 years, which also included music theory and music history, I continued another fiver years of Piano studies, focusing on a Concert Pianist role. Later on, I got fascinated with Violin and Organ and thus, I decided to learn these new instruments, besides my top up studies as a Concert Pianist.
From early on I discovered my love towards improvisation and composition. Quite soon after starting piano studies, my practice hours were divided between playing Mozart, or whatever was part of my classical piano curriculum, and then slowly but surely, another author's piece, evolved into a new composition, into my composition; my mind went on a journey to a place, where I felt I can freely speak my mind. Nobody else could understand me, but most often than not, I was pouring my heart out, filled with all kinds of emotions I had experienced during a day, I put into my improvisation. As the Piano was next to my Dad's office then he often overheard my every piano practice. At first, my Dad did not realise that I was creating my own compositions and thus, he asked:
Dad: ''This piece sounds so beautiful, what is it called and who is the author again. Wait. Let me guess, is it Beethoven?''
Me: ''No.''
Dad: '' Mozart?''
Me: ''No''
Dad:'' Shubert?''
Me: ''No''
Dad: '' Who is it then?''
I just giggled a bit and then answered with a white lie: '' Oh sorry......sure it is Mozart'' and then got back to practicing and actual Mozart piece. Later on when I was again improvising I sometimes told him that it is my song and I was not actually practicing a given Piano song. So, ever since then my Dad started to pay a more closer attention to what I was playing. Quite often he would catch me out and say something like:
''Hey Mozart, are you practicing your school pieces, or have you gone wondering in your world again? I mean, don't get me wrong, it sounds beautiful, but you you have your exam coming!''
My freedom is having my fingers rolling around the piano keys, creating something beautifully unpredictable, being unpredictably beautiful.
In addition, I have completed Music Technology studies (Bachelor of Science) in University of South Wales with First-class honors. I have experience in music recording, music performance (singing in choir as well as being soloist, playing keys in bands, singing and playing in ensembles) and composing music for films.
