I am an extremely versatile actor, able to put across comedy and farce but also portray a more serious, thoughtful or reserved side. Equally at home with contemporary theatre or the Classics, I like to research any roles I take and give thought to the character that I am asked to play. I have played a variety of roles including lead parts in Gaslight, Flare Path and She Stoops to Conquer and strong supporting performances in Ladies' Day, The Admirable Crichton, Season's Greetings and The Juliet Inquiry. In Much Ado About Nothing I took the roles of Balthasar (which in that production incorporated the messenger that opens the play), singing two solos, and one of the Watch, being able to give both characters clear definition and differentiation. In addition, I recently played a whistle-blower, an intense and demanding role, in a two-parter film. I also enjoy the opportunity of using my voice to its best, being able to give as broad a scope of emotions and reactions in the spoken word (in narration, Voice over work or radio dialogue) as on stage or film. As well as the experience listed I have also in the past narrated for "Words and Music" concerts and directed and performed sketches for music concerts (as well as singing in Tenor range) and more recently acted as MC and performer in Cabaret evenings.
