Peter McAllum is delighted to announce that he is now being represented in Australia by Leigh Whittemore at WHITTEMORE MANAGEMENT:

Peter trained at London's Westminster Theatre, and has worked extensively in Australian and New Zealand theatre, film and television.

Theatrical credits include Wild Honey (NIDA Studio Theatre), his critically-acclaimed portrayal of Edward Damson in Gift of the Gorgon (Phoenix Theatre Company), the merelyplayers production Birth, Death and Everything in Between (Tap Gallery), Navigating (New Theatre) and The Balmain Jesus (SBW Stables Theatre). He also played Leonato in the Shakespeare Under the Stars production of Much Ado About Nothing at Coogee.

Peter performed in back-to-back Aus/NZ tours with Topol in the hit musical Fiddler on the Roof, and the NY-based production of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, while back in Sydney he squeezed in The Night Heron (SBW Stables), Terrorism (Darlinghurst Theatre), Redheads (Old Fitzroy), Honeymoon Suite (New Theatre), Away (Impulse Theatre).
He also performed in Light Bites and Tasty Treats at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Peter launched into 2010 playing Egeon in The Comedy of Errors - Shakespeare on the Green (Balmain and Waverton), followed by the role of Pozzo in a critically-acclaimed, sell-out production of Waiting for Godot (New Theatre, Sydney, April/May 2010) and Golden Soil at the NIDA Parade Space. He kicked off 2011 with a new play from the UK, Canary, again at the New Theatre, and has subsequently performed in Conor McPherson's beautiful Irish play The Weir. In 2013, he had roles in a number of plays - Martin McDonough's The Pillowman, the epic Jerusalem, by Jez Butterworth, Cristina in the Cupboard by Paul Gilchrist (Subtlenuance Theatre) and John Patrick Shanley's New York classic, The Dreamer Examines His Pillow.
The critics were enthusiastic in their praise of his work in all four!
He played himself (!) in the Subtlenuance Theatre production, High Windows Low Doorways (March 2014), Sergeant Ray Armstrong in Hilary Bell's challenging and confronting play, Wolf Lullaby, and Joe Ryan in the hit season of When the Rain Stops Falling at the New Theatre.
His most recent theatrical involvement was the inaugural season of the Hunter Valley Summer Theatre late in 2016, where he played a variety of roles in a reprise of the aforementioned (Edinburgh), successful Light Bites and Tasty Treats programme.

TV appearances include Home and Away, the telemovie Joanne Lees – Murder in the Outback, All Saints, Criminal Investigation Australia, Packed to the Rafters, Rake, Crownies, Deadly Women and NZ's favourite soapie, Shortland Street.
He features in several recently-produced feature films, Fragment, Hobby Farm, These Days, Submerged, The Tunnel, Deceit, and has a lead röle in the horror feature, Bedlam. He also plays drag queen Bugsy in a new TV pilot, Eldest of None!

Peter also has a wealth of experience in the corporate area, including presenting, narrating, character and role-play work.

Modeling experience

Part-time model - paid commercial work

Peter has accumulated an impressive track record in modelling terms, with countless stills shots (print and multi-media) associated with the many various promotions he has been involved in as an actor/presenter...But it has not been until recently that he has actually decided to become more pro-active in that area, and he is now looking for further employment - specifically for PHOTOGRAPHIC modelling.

Peter's recent assignments include the CSIRO Healthy Heart Program (Penguin Books), the 6-star Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa, Homebush ANZ Stadium Corporate Suites, Singer kitchen appliances, Tourism Tasmania, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Optus and AMP.

Peter is 188cm (6'2") tall and weighs 90kg. He is a fit, youthful-looking 67-year-old, is extremely easy to work with, and has a thoroughly professional attitude to every aspect of his chosen career.

He is equally at home portraying the weathered Aussie bushman as he is presiding over that top-level corporate board meeting!
