Raindance Film Festival - Postgraduate Film Degree MA/MSc Film by Negotiated Learning (2013-2015)
MA in Film which I focussed on Political Satire in cinema. My work over the course included a mix of academic research in the history of political satire, analysis of political satire films and the development of my own work within the genre. This involved writing reports, a feature screenplay and film a short scene.
London Metropolitan University - Upper Second Class Honours BA in Film and Broadcasting Production (2010 - 2013)
While studying this course I have undertaken many different tasks. In modules focused on the methodology of the media and the history of Cinema I had to research independently a set topic and present my work in a formal academic manner. I have worked in small teams on projects such as a 5 minute Radio feature where I independently went out and found an interviewee and conducted an interview with them. I have made many short live action films ranging from Drama’s to Comedies to Advertisements, all of which were tasks given under strict themes. I worked with small groups when filming with my roles ranging from Writing, Lighting, Editing, Producing, Composing the Music, Operating the Camera and Directing. As the wide range of roles show I am capable of either leading or a member a group when undertaking a project. I had modules aimed at improving my screenwriting skills and on how to constructively work with actors. I learned how to carry out my work in a professional and organised manner from working under assigned topics and working towards a set deadline.
