Natasha has studied speech and drama from an early age, completing her Trinity College Levels to an honors standard. Once graduating high school she was accepted into the QUT Bachelor of Fine arts Drama course, completing this in 2010.

From here she went to pursue her acting and singing further and was chosen as one of 21 students to be the innagural class for the brand new Queensland Conservatorium of music course, majoring in Musical Theatre, Once she completed this in late 2013 Natasha made the move from Brisbane to Melbourne. Since then she has successfully co-written and performed in an original cabaret piece, "Velvet Addiction" which toured to sell out crowds in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. She went on to write her one-woman cabaret “These Things Take Wine” which sold out seasons at The Butterfly Club and as part of Brisbane Powerhouses “Wonderland Festival”.

Over her years of performing Natasha has had experience in improvisation, scene work, script analysis and physical theatre. She has a keen eye for character development and takes direction well. Known for her bold choices, she is always willing to take risks for the purpose of the work - and doesn't mind looking silly either.

Natasha York has established herself as a unique musical force on the Australian stage. Known for her powerhouse voice, comical timing and uncanny ability to rap on command, Natasha has featured in events such as the Brisbane Cabaret Festival, Queensland Tourism Awards and both the Melbourne Fringe, and International Comedy festivals.

She is a resident performer with local improvised musical theatre troupe “Impromptunes” and is in the process of producing their upcoming premier season of their new kids show “Tune Your Own Adventure ” for Perth Fringe festival in early 2015. As a big kid herself she has lots of experience in children’s entertainment and this year has toured with Fables and Frolics performing a bi-lingual (English/Italian) musical of “Aladdin” (Aladino). She also fronts local corporate band ‘Groove Star’ for Instinct Entertainment, recently playing for events at Crown Casino, The Grand Hyatt and Melbourne Town Hall

In 2012, she won the first Queensland Broadway Unplugged competition for her cabaret work and was flown down to Sydney to perform at the Vanguard. In July 2013, she was chosen as a featured artist in 'The Greenroom Project', where her cabaret work was mentored by Silvie Paladino and Micheal Falzon. She was recently one of 8 artists to be chosen by the Greenroom Project to record on their Twenty Fourteen Best Of album, which will be released in Jan 2015.

In 2010 Natasha established her corporate entertainment label NY Entertainment that features a portfolio of covers bands, cabaret acts and entertainers across Queensland and now Melbourne.
