I have been playing guitar for nearly 20 years and went to Wakefield college and Brighton to earn a degree in music. With my guitar playing I’m quite versatile as I enjoy playing rock and pop pieces to slow Jazz pieces, and even classical pieces. My main playing experience has been in the employ of the British Army's Specialist Contemporary Band in Catterick. When I first arrived at the band in late 2017, I didn't play that much as I was learning the bands set list, which was had to compromise of at least two 45 minute sets. But these sets would change depending on the crowd. These sets include, rock and pop songs, funk and disco and for dinner night Jazz pieces. Following from my arrival at the band I gradually became a stable member if the group. Even though there were three other guitarists in the band, because of my work ethic and desire to learn as much of the set as I could my former in the band considered me to be the number two guitarist out of the four. I am now a constant player in the band, taking part in nearly every concert the band plays. Since joining the band I'm a more competent and confident guitarist than I previously was.
