Previous paid speaking roles
I began taking acting lessons at age 12 from Walter Roberts, father of Eric and Julia Roberts. Over the next 3-4 years, I did television, summer stock onstage work, etc. under his direction with the Actor's and Writer's Workshop of Atlanta. Most roles were leading male parts. I also had the romantic lead in our high school play which won region competition.
Later in life, I became a sales instructor for Dale Carnegie & Associates and, later still, competed as president of my Toastmaster's chapter in various speaking contests. I sang in a rock band in high school and continue to sing (off and on) in church choirs. I have acted in biblical skits in church. Two years ago I did a stand up comedy routine in a community show in Boquete, Panama. Approximately 1 year ago I enjoyed taking an Improv class in NYC. Most recently, I sang and danced in a community theater production featuring numbers from "Chicago" and "Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons on Broadway".
