I am a professionally trained singer, who graduated from the University of Salford in 2012, specialising in Vocal Performance. Understudying Manchester based singer Clare Hogan, I have been singing from a young age, but have been professionally singing for eight years. I always maintain a high standard of professional integrity whilst performing and working in all aspects of my life. I am a confident in sight reading and sight singing, and have vast live performance experience and working in a professional environment.
I have been involved in Professional Music and Live performance for four years, working as a singer on stage or part of a team backstage at professional music concerts. I have recently been singing in local publicity performances for myself, and as part of the RNCM Choir for two years; recently singing with Goldfrapp in the Manchester International Festival 2013, and previously the world renowned African singer/performer Angelique Kidjo, where we performed with her at the Manchester venue the RNCM, and at The London Olympics 2012 on the BT river of Music Festival.
I also took an active approach in university and became involved in as many projects as possible, therefore gaining a wider experience in different musical styles. Recent examples of this were events for the University of Salford in partnership with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and Manchester based music venue ‘Manchester Academy’. I also actively took part in various musical groups such as The Manchester Theatre Orchestra, where our first major production of Disney’s Beauty and The Beast had great success. My most recent musical group is The Bert Kaempfert Musical Tour 2013, based under Greg Francis Orchestra and Blackpool UK Music Productions, where we toured around 12 venues with Bert Kaempfert’s musical work to the public.
